We Built A Space for
Our Community

Ruhe152 lives inside a building that has been part of Nappanee for more than a century. For years, it was easy to overlook—an aging structure that had lost its shine. We saw something different. We saw potential. And more importantly, we saw an opportunity to give something back to the community we love.

What stands here today is the result of a complete transformation—one that honored the history of the building while reimagining it as a warm, welcoming Italian bistro. The design was recognized by the Indiana Builders Association for its creativity and craftsmanship, but the real reward has always been seeing our neighbors walk through the doors and make it their own.

While the architecture often reminds guests of restaurants found in much larger cities, Ruhe152 was never meant to feel exclusive or intimidating. It was designed with our people in mind—a place that feels special without feeling stuffy. A place you can come after work, bring the family on the weekend, or enjoy a quiet date night without changing who you are or how you dress.

Inside, the space offers room for every kind of gathering. The main dining room is perfect for family dinners. The upstairs loft offers cozy seating and views below. The taproom brings a relaxed, rustic vibe with a look into our brewing and distilling equipment and TVs for game days. Our custom bar invites you to settle in, and our private dining rooms create space for celebrations both big and small.

Ruhe152 isn’t just a restaurant—it’s our way of saying thank you. Thank you to a town that supports local, shows up for one another, and takes pride in where we live. We took something forgotten and turned it into something special because Nappanee deserves places that feel like home.
